Bake That, Linguist!

Zorascreation started a blog called Death to all White People as a social experiment to see how the Tumblr staff would react in response to all of the racist blogs that currently inhabit server space on Tumblr and have yet to be removed. So they purposefully chose an ignorant title to provoke a quick response.

Note that there are tons of blogs on Tumblr with ethnic slurs and pejoratives against women in the title, blogs with death to all [insert ethnic slur here] as the title, blogs that use these words in their posts, blogs that re-blog racist memes and so on. Sadly, in many cases, the Tumblr staff has responded to most of the complaints that these people have the right to free speech.

Just let that sit there.

So I decided to so some “research” and see how many blogs I could find in the next few minutes with the word nigger/nigga in the title or in the content of the blog. I chose this word because that’s what anon’s like to call us Af. Am. bloggers due to their low vocabularies and willing ignorance. (And because I don’t know any ethnic slurs for non-Af. Ams, nor do I want to. Ever.)

Many people have complained about blogs such as these and yet they still exist. People complained about DTAWP, and the Tumblr staff is calling for the blog to be removed. Not surprised.

Then again, the Staff is calling Missing-E a hack even though it’s just an add-on, so I’m not very surprised by their lack of knowledge.
